Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how JustDocs, Inc. ("JustDocs", "we") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit justdocs.io or use the JustDocs application. By using the service you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information you provide, such as name, email address, and workspace details.
- Content you store in JustDocs — documents, runbooks, labels, and secrets you choose to add.
- Usage and device data collected automatically, such as pages viewed, referring site, browser, and approximate location, via our analytics provider.
How we use information
We use information to provide and operate the service, authenticate users, maintain security, respond to support requests, understand how the marketing site and product are used, and improve our offering. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
Our marketing site uses PostHog for privacy-conscious product analytics (autocaptured pageviews and clicks). These analytics may set cookies or local storage to measure usage. We do not use Google Analytics. Where required, we will request consent before non-essential tracking; you can also block cookies in your browser.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate (such as hosting and analytics providers), when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of JustDocs and its users. Service providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Data retention
We retain account and content data for as long as your workspace is active and as needed to provide the service. Analytics data is retained per our provider’s policy. You may request deletion of your data as described below.
Security
We protect data in transit with HTTPS and encrypt vault secrets at rest with AES-256. Access is private by default and governed by roles. See our Security page for details. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example, under GDPR or CCPA). To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
International transfers
We may process information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps intended to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
